This is a 50 + year old Elm Tree in my Mother-in-laws back yard! Casey's Dad was in the middle of beet harvest and his mom was in town taking his brother Scott to work. So glad no one was home with this happened. And the tree was far enough away from the house that their house is fine.
It is amazing to me just how LARGE this thing was. And it just came down!
Then the men had to get to work chopping it all up to get it out of there.
I wasn't able to go down and see it personally. But Casey took the kids and they had a good time climbing all up and in and around this thing. Sure is going to be different with it gone.
And a whole truck full of wood chips. They rented a chipper for all the branches.
There goes the stump. Boy is that guys strong to rip that right out!
The finished product. Looks bare now....
